Dungeon Souls is an indie hack and slash rouge-lite made by Lamina Studios and published by Black Shell media. Since this is a rogue-lite lets talk about its points of interest. Of course you have a rather simple combat laced with some parries and special abilities making it super fun to play. It has permadeath and unlockable characters and procedurally generated floors. You have to beat a certain amount of these ritual signs that afterwords opens up the exit to the next floor. This makes it rather exhilarating to play since after you unlock the floor a super boss starts to track you down. Another thing is the art style. Of course another pixel sprite game but man does it look gorgeous! I'm in awe ate the details on some of these sprites. I especially love the Skeleton boss you face 3 or 4 floors in.
The Skeleton King Boss
The game is quite hard so be careful. Also the devs are pretty cool guys so you should definitely support them. Now into the soundtrack...that's where this game lacks in my opinion. Not that it is bad, it just sounds like most average indie games soundtracks. It is pleasing to listen to but it is no Witcher 3 soundtrack. The character unlocks are kinda hard as well and the three starting class suck. The first one is a quick but easy to die Thief who throws daggers at mid range. He was by far my least favorite to play so far. Then there is an Archer who's range is decent but hes also weak and doesn't dish out much damage. And my favorite within my few hours of play is the Barbarian who has a huge axe and great health. He can kill anything and tank for a few hits. But of course you can pick up items or buy them from shops to make your stats increase or you can level up to increase your stats as well.
The Crappy Thief Class
Overall due to repetitive combat and a lackluster sound track it weighs on another fairly above average indie gem. Regardless you should all go buy it. I give it a 7 out of 10!
Scotty Wu has hit us with a new one and this smacks! Featuring Ish1da Scotty gets wavy on 'Fujiko Mine' with a catchy chorus "The way Shé poppin that pussy yo.." not too relevant in my life, but that's aside the point.
Yoooo. For the first time we have been blessed by Chicago native Jason Gatz originally apart of the duo "Gatz & Goods" with his partner in crime Ashley Good. Though this time around he is approaching this one solo— Jason has definitely outdone himself on this track!
DJ's control what makes that one girl you see in the corner move the way she moves, while at the same time keeping the bartender in his groove focus on the order's at the same time enjoying himself cause he know DeejayMiggz is in the building. Miggz moves the crowed.
Yesterday PIVOT GANG MC MFnMelo dropped a new visual for his unreleased single 'Boomerang' which was produced by fellow Pivoter Joseph Chilliams. With a clean but gritty touch to the video Melo takes us through a Coast with his lax but avid flow over crisp ass drum loops that mesh perfectly with the obscure sample that rings throughout the entire song.
